This is the fourth lesson of the ‘Key to Arabic Book Two’ course. In this lesson, you will be introduced to the demonstrative pronouns haadhaa, haadhihi, dhaalika and tilka (‘this’ and ‘that’) in their singular masculine and feminine forms and will learn to use them with new vocabulary relating to items of clothing. The course as a whole is based on the book ‘The Key to Arabic Book Two’ by Dr. Alawiye, which is available from the publisher's website: www.gatewaytoarabic.com. The course introduces students to simple sentence structures and key aspects of Arabic grammar. By following this series, you will gain an understanding of non-verbal and verbal sentences and will be introduced to past and present tense verbs in their simplest singular forms. You will also learn about attached and detached singular pronouns, uses of the three different cases (nominative, accusative and genitive), masculine and feminine nouns and adjectives, interrogatives (questioning words), adverbs, prepositions and many other points of grammar. Alongside the course material from ‘The Key to Arabic Book Two’, Dr. Alawiye also teaches useful vocabulary and expressions that can be used in conversation.
